We weren't recommended to work during the summer vacation, as we already had a lot of work completed before production in terms of story. The next step was to start character models, 3d animatics, rigs, etc. I worked on scenes with first animation passes with my own quick block-out models:

When models were on their second pass, I animated them once again. This time was difficult because I hadn't scaled the block-out models correctly the first time nor referenced the Maya scene, so all has to be remade. I did however, animate the sequence prior to the first battle choreography. The locks sequence at the very beginning was discussed to be cut.

Modeling

La Muerte was changed upon senior class consensus (having 2 Mexican reapers might be confusing). Instead of the idealized Santa Muerte, we chose to make her the Vietnamese goddess Dia Mau (earthly mother). I had volunteered to model and textured her!

Our environments sub-group needed help for some assets, so I made a rotten apple... Concept Art

- Old Man's house interior (rough pass)

I helped the environment group as well making a reference for the locks on the door I made for the visual development art from Check In #7
